Last night, while working on a new design, I recalled the frustration of attempting to customize a Canva design that included pre-existing elements like graphics or shapes. It became complex when I was searching for similar elements or trying to distinguish whether an element originated from Canva’s free library or was uploaded. This used to pose quite a challenge, especially when dealing with a PLR product. That’s why I wanted to take a moment to share my approach with you. Here are the steps:

Finding Similar Elements in Canva

  1. Open your project in Canva’s design/edit mode.
  2. Select the element (image, icon, etc.) for which you want to find similar elements.
  3. Once the element is selected, you might see a toolbar at the top or side of the canvas with editing options.
  4. Search for an icon resembling “i” enclosed within a circle, then click on it. This action will bring up details about the element in a pop-up menu.

6.- Click on the “See more like this” option, to see a list of similar elements on the left panel.

7.- Click on the i icon again, this time next to Free or Pro, to find out information about licensing terms.

8- There might be instances where the element’s information displays as “user-uploaded content.” In such cases, you will need to ascertain the licensing terms from your provider.
